New Fun Printables in Monster High theme.

Jack Frost is finally here in Louisiana.  Low 40s outside and hot cocoa inside, just the way it should be.  I just hope we get one of the rare snow Christmases this year.  Keeping fingers crossed.  :)

A few days ago, Helena F contacted me about needing some new printables for her daughter's birthday.  It seems her daughter is one of the many fans who love Monster High.  I was more than happy to put together some fun printables with some low cost ideas to help get her party started.  I hope she has a great birthday!  View all MH printables here.

Princess Crown
Here is our fun Monster High themed birthday crown.  Since little girls are the ones who like this theme the most, I have made sure to make a crown as well as a party hat that the boys can wear.  Easy directions are written on the page.  Printable party hats are one of my favorite things to make.  Crowns only require tape to assemble along with scissors.  For the other party hats seen on our MH page, you can use elastic or yarn to hook to the sides like you see on a store bought party hat.  For yarn, just tie under the chin.

Party Treat Box
Our Monster High themed party treatbox is the perfect size to fit all the fun little candies, rings etc.  Perfect treats to help keep your party cost low might be jeweled rings, bead necklaces, erasers and stickers along with some great small candies.  Be sure to keep small objects from young children.

Other Party Ideas
Other affordable ideas would include:
- Streamers in both black and hot pink twisted from corner to corner on the walls.
- Monster movie night, if you don't want to show too scary of a movie, you can rent black and white monster movies from years past.
- Halloween music as background music with such songs as The Monster Mash help with this theme.
- Never be afraid to draw your own pictures on poster board or use markers to color.  You can decorate a room with the pictures or make a pin the bow on the skelli game.

No matter what you do, I am sure your party will be a hit!

Gotta Go, But Before I Do...

My daughter's state honor band is this weekend, so we will be making our yearly road trip to Baton Rouge to see the show.  She got 3rd chair this year and we are so proud of her.  I wanted to push a few more Thanksgiving printables in before our weekend road trip.

Have a great weekend!

Mommy I Want To Be A Fall Princess
Today I made a couple hat/crowns for boys and girls to wear this thanksgiving. Every holiday was fun when I was growing up.  My mom always worked hard to make it feel like a great celebration.  I guess that's why I like making printables so much.  It keeps me young  :)

Native American Crown
Here is the Boys hat.  You don't need to use all strips for kids with little heads, but the more you use, the more sturdy it can be.  I prefer using tape when I put them together.  They do have double sided tape that is sticky on both sides that you can use as well.  By using the double sided, it won't show the tape when people look at you wearing it.  I live by double sided tape for just about everything I do.

Fall Princess Crown
This is my Fall Princess Crown.  I will let my daughter pick which one she wants to wear and I will wear the other.  Luckily for me, my daughter Amber may be turning 18 in January, but she is a goofy as her other.  This allows me to have fun without being alone.  I will get us together and snap a picture on Thanksgiving.  I figured girls might want to feel more like a fall princess, so I do hope they like this one.  Print This Item Click Here

Give Thanks Through Crafting Printables
Thanksgiving is next week and to get this party started off with a hitch, I have decided to link to some of my favorite sites and their printables.  Before printing, be sure to read the rule of use with each website.  As you will find, some websites have select rules when printing.  This can include anything from how many you can print for free, to how often, what you can use them for etc.

Be sure to print all our printables at FamilyShoppingbag.com.

New Thanksgiving Printable From FSB
I swear it took forever to put this blog together, so my first post isn't as full as future ones will be, I will get back on track quickly, I promise!  I have some new Thanksgiving food pics to cut and place together.  Directions are at the bottom of the image.  What can you use these for?  Just about anything!  By using wood skewers, you can paste the two sides back to back with the skewer in the middle and then stick in your cupcakes, cake, plants, just about whatever you want!  You don't need cardstock, but it is the easiest paper for this project.

One of my favorites is my Thanksgiving gift tags that I created earlier this year.  These can be used as place cards, as gift tags for treats etc.
